St. Joseph Academy Preschool
Our preschool program is designed to promote the social, cognitive, emotional, physical, and spiritual growth of each child.

In addition to our academic program, St. Joseph Academy offers religion, music, and P.E. classes appropriate for each preschool level.

Children learn through daily exploration and we encourage the children to explore through our daily activities.

Three-Year-Old Program

Our three-year-old program focuses on social and emotional growth. We accomplish this through role playing, story time, and group activities. They learn to respect themselves, other students, and other students' belongings. This is a crucial age, where children are developing from toddler stage to preschoolers.

Four-Year-Old Program

Our four-year-old program focuses on readiness for Kindergarten. The children work independently or in small groups, completing centers focusing on math, reading, sensory, art, and dramatic play. In a larger format, the children participate in religion time and circle time. Our preschool teacher works closely with the Kindergarten teacher to monitor and enhance the program to meet the needs of each individual student.

Preschool Schedule

  • Three-Year-Olds attend Tuesday and Thursday, from 7:45am to 11:00am.
  • Four-Year-Olds attend Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, also from 7:45am to 11:00am.
  • Extended care is also available until either 1:00pm or 2:45pm, with daycare services available in the summertime.
