PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Our preschool program is
designed to promote the social, cognitive, emotional,
physical and spiritual growth of each child. In addition
to our academic program, St. Joseph Academy offers
religion, music and P.E. classes appropriate for each
preschool level. Children learn through daily
exploration and we encourage the children to explore
through our daily activities. Every day is a new
opportunity to learn!!
REQUIREMENTS
1. Copy of child*s birth certificate
2. Copy of child*s social
security number.
3. Current immunization
certificate.
4. Must be 3 by the first
day of school for the 3 year old program.
5. Must be 4 by the first
day of school for the 4 year old program.
3-YEAR OLD PROGRAM
Our three-year old program
focuses on social and emotional growth. We accomplish
this through role playing, story time and group
activities. They learn to respect themselves, other
students and other student*s belongings. This is a
crucial age, where children are developing from toddler
stage to preschoolers.
4-YEAR OLD PROGRAM
Our four-year old program
focuses on readiness for Kindergarten. The children work
independently or in small groups; completing centers
focusing on math, reading, sensory, art and dramatic
play. In a larger format the children participate
in religion time and circle time. Our preschool teacher
works closely with the Kindergarten teacher to monitor
and enhance the program to meet the needs of each
individual student.
PRESCHOOL SCHEDULE
Three-Year Olds attend:
Tuesdays and Thursdays
7:45 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Four-Year Olds attend:
Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays
7:45 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
EXTENDED CARE OPTIONS:
Extended Care is available until 1:00
(includes lunch period, and
outside/inside time).
Extended Care is available until 2:45
(includes lunch period, rest
period, outside/inside time, snack and center time). |
